For many years, Jessica has been known for hand-painting colorful and ornate silk scarves using a variety of traditional techniques. Recently she is experimenting with new fiber art techniques such as shibori and tie-dye.

In the past few months Jessica has started exploring the art of Shibori, a Japanese technique of dying fabric, dating back to the 8th Century.
Jessica receives assistance in her studio while working on the shibori process, which requires different ties and folds. She then chooses beautiful color combinations and applies dye to create interesting textural designs.
